Curvy Month Pattern 3: A Preview of Spring, c. 1939

I know how much everyone loves 1930's knitting patterns, but it can be a bit of search to find them in a larger size. I was really entranced with this stunning dress pattern in Knitting and Home Crafts (March 1939) and then I noticed it was curvy sized!

The blouse and skirt are knit in two pieces and seamed at the waist to make a dress - meaning it would be a cinch to turn the blouse portion into a sweater/jumper by just adding a couple of inches of rib at the bottom.

The blouse has a cross over neckline, and is knitted in a drop-stitch pattern making it light and airy.
I hope you like it!

Finished size: Bust 39", Waist 32" and Hip 40.5"
Yarn: Fingering weight wool crepe
Needles: 2.75mm

As always, right click and open in a new tab before printing.

Fabulous! The older I get, the more I want an all knit dress or skirt and top/sweater combo. Something like would fit the bill wonderfully (alas, I'm a not a knitter - but it's great to have the image and inspiration when shopping).

Have a wonderful weekend!
