It's that time of year again - Fifties Fair Day!

I like to think of it as vintage-lover's Christmas.
Lots of pretty, shiny things; people in their best outfits; tasty food; smiles and a good atmosphere.

This year the Fair is on the 25 August (Rose Seidler House, Turramurra) from 10am - 4pm.
I recommend getting there about 9.30am if you want a close park.

They're doing the pre-sale tickets again (General $30, Memb/Conc $25) which I love - no queuing and no fumbling for money! (Or waiting for the person in front of you fumble for money while you're champing at the bit).

There's a great band line up for this year as well - Pat Cappoci Combo, and Miss Teresa and Her Rhythmaires from Brisbane. A nice mix of rockabilly and country sounds - perfect for dancing!

Is anyone else going?

I just found your blog (searching for info on the 50's Fair tomorrow!) and I must say I love it - especially all the gorgeous clothes you have made for yourself - particularly the scotty dog knitted jumper! The fair looks like lots of fun - great pics - looking forward to a fun day tomorrow!
